May 23rd, 2009 | By Nebulla

coa-d-020-400Also coming out this Monday is Syndaesia - Disgusting / Sonar.  With roots ranging from rock, funk to drum&bass it is no surprise that Syndaesia gives birth to dubstep with an in-your-face attitude. This young producer from Belgium creates music with the sole intention of  smashing up a dancefloor.

Over the past few months his tracks have slowly but surely creeped onto the wish list of radio stations & dj’s around the globe. What you should expect?  A futuristic cocktail of big stadium drums, twisted basslines & trancey leads.

Dusgusting is an all out banger that will def rock the floor.  Sonar is epic synth madness combined with  hard hitting beats.  Dont miss these ones and this is def not the last time you will hear from Syndaesia.

Enkryption Projekt is a Brooklyn based dubstep crew. Its sights are set on global domination, with its goal being to make the world buy bigger speakers, and drink whiskey straight out the bottle. EP is headed by long time Konkrete Jungle resident Alias with Konkrete veteran dj and sound system scientist, Iron Myke, and various MC’s. They are the ill bass dropping, party rockin, breakbeat renegades. The clubs with the biggest subwoofers are usually where you can find them on any given night. These men are specialized in slinging the heaviest of dubstep beats on serious sound systems. With every member of the crew racking 10 years or more in the NYC Dj/Mc circuit, they have evolved into a force with the ability to destroy and re-assemble a dancefloor as they see fit. http://www.myspace.com/enkryptionprojekt

Hellfire Machina - Stepping out from The Big Apple, but originating from London, HELLFIRE MACHINA have been turning heads since the projects inception last year. Sonic exploration in the realm of 140 bpm, with an ethos of non conformity, heavy bass and fierce attitude, the Hellfire crew are set to explode. Their productions have already been devastating dancefloors around the world which has led to a biweekly Dj residency in New York, numerous releases penned for the first part of 2009 not to mention a host of remixes that are currently being crafted in their studio ‘Planet Twisted’.

Dave GEE is quickly becoming a favorite in the NYC Dubstep scene. His party rocking style pays homage to the decade that he spent working as a Jump-Up Jungle DJ and promoter on the East Coast. Always keeping the dance floor in mind, his sets are comprised of dancehall inspired tunes and crucial wobblers. Dave works full time as CEO of Methods Clothing and simultaneously is holding down residencies at the Dark Room and Pressure parties in New York City. With a steady amount of out-of-town gigs coming up, this is one DJ you should make sure to catch when he’s in your city. http://www.myspace.com/davegee

Dore and Nebulla - Nebulla started Code Of Arms Records in the summer of 2007. Los Angeles based label La Dubstep Nostra singed Nebulla and Dore in 2008 for their Czar Black Remix Gettin’ Doe which was released on vinyl along with tracks by Parson and 6blocc. Dore is also known for his signature sub-heavy production and furious drum programming skills. His tracks appear on Code Of Arms Records and LA Dubstep Nostra. Any set from Dore is sure to be a terrific break-filled blend of exclusive dublates and his own blistering production. http://www.myspace.com/djdore, http://www.myspace.com/djnebulla

FRIDAY JUNE 5TH MTHODS PRESENTS PRESSURE @ LOVE

May 20th, 2009 | By Nebulla

Break Science is the culmination of a career of beat bending by its brainchild, Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee, who lends his keyboard soundscapes to Adam’s modern palate. Whether performing a DJ set with drums / programming or helming a live band, Break Science is club music in the vein of a “live mix tape,” blending live trip-hop, broken-beat, dub, drum & bass and hip-hop.

Inspired by hip-hop at an early age – in particular, by Public Enemy and Eric B and Rakim – Adam began his production career by making loops on a tape deck in his bedroom. He’s gone on to produce and play with some of today’s top artists, including 50-Cent, Redman, Talib Kweli, Snoop Dogg, KRS-One, MF Doom, J-Live, Jurassic 5, Justin Timberlake, John Medeski, and his own Fyre Dept as well as being a regular part of Wyclef Jean’s band. http://www.myspace.com/breaksciencemusic

Pawn and EMU are two of the busiest dubstep producers in Los Angeles today. Along with their fellow SMOG crew, Pawn and EMU been a part of the largest Dubstep events in North America, Killing dancefloors alongside the dubstep scene’s heaviest hitters such as Skream, Caspa, Chef, Plastician, Youngsta, Nick Argon, 12th Planet, 6BLOCC, MRK1, & Reso. EMU has had the pleasure of playing in many cities outside of the LA area including Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Denver, Kansas City and San Diego exposing new recruits to the addictive sounds of Dubstep. They also host an internet radio show on dubstep.fm that has a worldwide listener base. Look for their releases on SMOGDigi, Basshead (w/Skream remix), 10Bag and more to come! http://www.myspace.com/emudubstep , http://www.myspace.com/pwnsound

DJ Odi is in great part responsible for the entire style of jungle music in NYC. His way of mixing jungle beats with Hip Hop has grown into its own genre. “Jump up” has been the defining style of NYC and the east coast in general since 97. Along with his crew, Digital Konfusion, Odi began spinning at NYC’s most dedicated weekly jungle show: Konkrete Jungle. Odi rapidly became a fixture, while continuing to travel the country, one of the first few to enjoy such popularity. Tonight ODI will bless us with an exclusive Dubstep set done his way. You’ve never heard it played like this! http://www.myspace.com/djodi
